Vaibhavi and Shruti Merchant’s Taj Express – London

The Merchants of Bollywood are back, this time with “Taj Express”. Graham Watts on thin plots and a glittery parade of happiness. ★★★✰✰

Kevin and Karen Clifton – Kevin and Karen Dance – London

★★★★✰   This show defied the norm: a counter-intuitive observation about a spin-off from the archetypal routine of a Saturday evening institution that millions of us watch with our feet up.

FLASH MOB – London

Including a low-key pilot at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe of 2012, the ‘Flash Mob’ brand is now into its third iteration, and I must immediately confess to liking this show less than either of its predecessors.

Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace – Midnight Tango – London

The good thing about Midnight Tango is that it doesn’t feel like a production that has been skimped on in any way. …So are these ingredients deployed to good affect? Well I’d hoped for a little more, to be honest
