Following the earlier announcement about DanceTabs closing we’ve now run our final reviews and galleries. General activity on Twitter continues for now – I still retain a professional interest in dance doings and it’s nice to recommend and draw attention to things I’ve always thought as important.

One of the terrific things to come out of all this has been the response to the news and the wide appreciation shown for DanceTabs. I wanted to capture that in one place – on this page.

I have to say it’s proved more difficult than I imagined to capture social media posts as opposed to linking or embedding them. But in an ever-changing world, I wanted to capture actual text and not risk bad links and lost material in the future. The capture for Facebook and Instagram is relatively straightforward but the way Twitter works really throws up many items and the same names and comments can appear a few times as people draw attention to them in various different ways. So be warned it’s a long Twitter list, but there are some lovely gems in there and of all the social media sites it’s Twitter where we have had the most impact I think.

Besides social media, I’ve had many personal notes that it would not be appropriate to publish. And Marina Harss in her final review for the site toped and tailed her dance reflections with some touching words about DanceTabs and what we have been about.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and they have been very much appreciated by all involved. All power to those that cover dance doings. And to dance and dancers, of course. You are all very special.
