★★★✰✰   The 10 dancers who graced the Joyce stage represented a powerhouse of talent and technique, on par with some of the best dancers at much larger companies – BalletX is worth checking out.

Fall for Dance at the Delacorte Theatre – New York

For the second year in a row, the Fall for Dance Festival began with a pair of performances at the outdoor Delacorte Theatre in Central Park, one of the most enchanting spots in the city.

Pennsylvania Ballet – Pushing Boundaries bill, Riolama Lorenzo’s final performances – Philadelphia

Philadelphia’s dance community and a legion of dance fans have been filling the Merriam Theater this week to catch the final performances of Pennsylvania Ballet Principal Riolama Lorenzo. Pushing Boundaries is great programming to mark the occasion and to show the future of this company, going into its 50th season next year. Rio, as she is affectionately known, started out as a member of NYCB, but chose to move to Pennsylvania Ballet. Her final bows came on February 12.
