
At the end of the 2013/2014 Season, Birmingham Royal Ballet is able to announce the following:
Samara Downs is promoted from Soloist to First Soloist
Delia Mathews is promoted from First Artist to Soloist
Yasuo Atsuji is promoted from First Artist to Soloist
William Bracewell is promoted from First Artist to Soloist
Kit Holder is promoted from First Artist to Soloist
Ruth Brill is promoted from Artist to First Artist
Brandon Lawrence is promoted from Artist to First Artist
The following dancers will join the company:
Alexander Bird from St. Ives, graduate of the Royal Ballet School, will join as an Artist
Edivaldo Souza da Silva from Brazil, graduate of the Royal Ballet School, will join as an Artist
Sofia Rubio Robles from Gran Canaria, will join as an Artist from Dutch National Ballet Junior Company
Daria Stanciulescu from Romania, will join as an Artist from Ballet Zurich
Maki Sekuzu from Japan, graduate of Elmhurst School for Dance, will join as an Artist on a one-year maternity cover contract
The following dancers leave the company:
Callie Roberts leaves Birmingham Royal Ballet after seven years with the Company, two of those as a First Artist. Callie is moving to London to explore other ventures.
Nathanael Skelton left Birmingham Royal Ballet earlier this year after eight years with the Company. Nathanael returned to New Zealand to join Royal New Zealand Ballet.
