ZooNation – The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party – London

★★★★✰   ZooNation’s “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” has come a long way as a thoughtful Royal Opera House alternative to the Royal Ballet’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.

Like the novelist who writes a best-seller first time out, whatever Kate Prince goes on to create in the future, she’ll always struggle to match the brilliance of her first full-length show – Into the Hoods…

Resolution! 2014 – Works by léa tirabasso, Anything Goes Collective, James Finnemore – London

The title of Kate Prince’s latest extravaganza is way too modest. On the basis of the universal adulation pouring from this audience, not just at the end but throughout the show, it would appear that EVERYONE likes it hip hop.

Sadler’s Wells – Spring / Summer 2013 Programming

It’s the name of the game that one does not necessarily appreciate all plans (or indeed how they crystallise out in practice) but I have to say that Sadler’s Wells set a benchmark re new work/experiences and for where you want a progressive art to be.

What a ridiculous position we are in when 80% of professional dancers suffer an injury each year that stops them working… With so many dancers being touched by injury each year this initiative should have a profound impact on the profession and seems long overdue…
