Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Awards committee, Graham Watts OBE, said: ‘These awards are a celebration of brilliance amongst the rich diversity of dance forms. More than 200 nominations of companies, choreographers and performers were received from the dance critics and the 40 short-listed for the awards came from a wide spectrum, both geographically and by genre, including the breakthrough of three nominees from flamenco.’
The awards were hosted by former NDA winner, Tommy Franzèn, and Bennet Gartside of the Royal Ballet.
The dance section of the Critics’ Circle are delighted and honoured to thank the 2013 National Dance Awards Sponsors:
Grishko, Dancing Times, Stef Stefanou, The Critics’ Circle, Dancers Pro, The Ballet Association, Lee McLernon, The Office of Architectural Culture, the Construction Industry Council, D&D Art Productions and Dance UK for the Jane Attenborough Dance UK Industry Award.
The 15th National Dance Awards will be held on Monday, 26th January 2015
